Amy McGarry

Meet Amy, our founding attorney, owner of the firm, and one of nicest people you'll ever meet. Amy was born and raised in Geauga County located in Northeast Ohio. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!), graduating in 1991. Amy returned to NE Ohio to attend the University of Akron School of Law and graduated in 1995.

While pregnant with her first daughter, she took a leap of faith and opened up her own law firm on her own so she could be in charge of her work life balance. Amy McGarry Law Office was born in Wadsworth, Ohio in 1997 and began as a general practice that included estate planning, probate, and guardianship. Amy had the privilege of being a court appointed guardian for several of Medina County’s indigent elderly citizens, where her love and commitment for the elderly community grew immensely.

In 1999, she became licensed in the State of Florida. Amy was able to assist Ohio snow-birds with their Florida legal issues. Finally in 2004, Amy and her husband, Ben, and their two daughters moved to Cape Coral and have loved every minute in the warm and sunny weather. Amy followed her passions and continued her sole practice focusing on estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, Medicaid planning, and guardianship.

If Amy is ever found out of the office, you will likely find her out in the sun, reading, or both! Amy shares a love with many Ohio sports teams, including the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians, and rarely ever misses the chance to watch a game.

Amy treasures time with her family and giving back to the community. She will take any opportunity to help those in need and educate others on the importance of preparing for their future.
